Escrow & Payments
Your money is protected at every step.
HAMA holds every naira in a segregated escrow account until you confirm the asset is exactly as listed and ownership has transferred.
How HAMA escrow works
1. You win the lot
The hammer falls and HAMA issues an invoice for the hammer price + buyer's premium + 7.5% VAT.
2. You pay HAMA escrow
Funds are held in a segregated escrow account at our partner bank — not by the vendor, not by HAMA's operating account.
3. We verify the asset
We confirm the asset matches the listing and that title / ownership documents transfer cleanly to you.
4. Funds release
Once you confirm collection or delivery, HAMA releases net proceeds to the vendor within 48 hours.
Payment methods
All payments are processed by licenced Nigerian and pan-African gateways. Card payments are 3DS-secured.
